Share the Dignity
Story
Hey everyone
This is Share the Dignity's first year participating in Bridge to Brisbane, and we are bloody excited!!!
We will be taking on the 5km walk with our sea of pink supporters, all with the aim of better health outcomes for our most vulnerable women.
In particular, I am walking for the women who wake up on Christmas morning in a domestic violence refuge or homeless shelter with nothing. Like Kathy, who received a little denim handbag, and in that bag were the basic essentials like shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, then of course period products, and a note that said You are not alone.
It was that one piece of paper with You are not alone that Kathy kept with her the whole time she went through her domestic violence court cases. I want women, like Kathy, to feel loved and to have hope for the future, giving them the dignity that so many of us take for granted.
You can support our efforts and women like Kathy by making a secure online donation. After donating you can even leave a message of support on our page – it would be great to read these.
Together we can make a big impact on race day!
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Share the Dignity.
Thank you so much for your support 🙏😊
Rochelle xx

Share the Dignity Limited
Share the Dignity works to make a real, on-the-ground difference to the lives of women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, domestic violence or poverty. We distribute period products to those in need and work to achieve menstrual equity here in Australia. When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.
